How can a CT resident save $$ in a deregulated market?

Consumers can lower their bill with one of the following options:

  • The first option is to sign up through your local utility. However, your local utility will not guide you in what is the best rate and best contract. This may lead you to pay higher prices rather than saving you money on your electric bill.

  • Another option is to call up the different suppliers directly. They may offer you enticing rates, but not low enough to save you enough money on your electric bill.

  • The third option is to call a local advisory company that helps consumers in deregulated markets. Advisory companies help consumers understand the electricity market better when it becomes deregulated. Advisory groups like GES not only work with different suppliers, but offer the consumer different ideas and products that help lower their electric bills.
    • Not only do advisory companies focus on lowering the cost of electricity, but also look into alternative energy sources. This allows the consumer to save money by not relying on one main source of power for their homes/businesses.
    • Green Energy Solutions has been serving CT since early 2008. They can be reached at 860-538-5188.
